A new one on me replaced a couple of dash lights they work fine now, but the oil and alt don't light up now, the did before I removed dash panel.

I can only think that you may have caused a poor contact on the pcb.
the connectors going to the dash sometimes require a bit of a jiggle to make the connection. i have copper slip on mine, just make sure the copper slip does not cross over tracks.. also sometimes the bulbs are bad for making a connection.. turn them all the way then back them off a bit..
