Cool. Nice to see its all going smoothly.

I was informed that one of our guys is moving out next year earlier (Cheers, bit its a bit late now!!)...although we had agreed to stay on in the same house, providing the landlord would let us.

But we have a mate of one of the other guys that wants to move in, so thats all good, now we just need to inform the landlord, so assuming he isnt out of character, all will be excellent....

Nice 1 Paul, hope you find somewhere decent. I've got roped into going house hunting with the lads when i'm back at uni (i.e. when I finish this bloody car, got a day of riding round on buses buying parts tomorrow, woooo :( ), it's gonna be tough finding a house thats cheap, has decent sized rooms (my bedroom furniture includes a weightlifting bench and a fridge  ) and has at least one off-road parking space for the Capri. Mission impossible methinks! :D

The place we are going to see again tomorrow is fully refurbed (husband of the woman = builder) it's gorgeous - laminate throughout, all newly painted/wallpapered, quality work too, all new pine doors, brand new fitted kitchen with washer driver, all uPVC windows and huge PVC strong doors, back yard with gated access to the alley way (locked gates at each end, 8ft high....brill!). 3 bedrooms upstairs 1 down. Only single thing I hated? Brown bathroom suite, she said "We changed the one in another house and had it all done in a few days over christmas, we are considering doing the same here". THat one (with 4 large rooms, double beds in all but one which is a long thin room, I might try for that room ;)) is £50pppw. The second one she showed us had a bigger kitchen with dining area (they extended the kitchen more in that one when they were doing it up) but no laminate, decorated a year or two ago (not a week ago like the other one lol) and that one is £48.

Considering the dumps we saw at the start of the week for £49 and £52 this is the bargain of the century!

Also it has the best thing, a very very good landlord. She went upstairs so I had a chat with one of the girls already there, she said "i wouldn't go with anybody else" and they are only moving out as the landlord is moving out of her own house (going up in the world it seems) and so they are having that.

I am quite excited really, the house is nearly as good as my real house (on a different size scale though of course!). Hope these girls are nice, I get along with most people because I don't talk to them much :D That causes people to dislike me though.*

*nb, this is only in real life, not on FF!

Got to find some ADSL packages, think 1Mbit uncapped then into a wireless network should do.

Cheers everybody for being so supportive :) I couldn't have asked for better.

My "real life friends" are the opposite. I suggested we might go for the house and find 2 people later on and they were so dismissive "Such a risk" blah blah blah I wanted to punch them. I am 99.9% sure that if we did go for it without two others, those rooms would be filled and paid for within 2 weeks. Only risk with that is the people we "take in" won't be as good as we like.

i am tempted to do that, my dad (who has some experience in this because of my sis) is advising me to do this because the house simply is that good compared to the crap we have seen:

Images thanks to the landlady.

I am quite a worrying person as many of you know and my paranoia doesn't improve by being messed around like this. I have gotten even less trusting :(

Looks posh, specially for student digs! (y)

Is that somewhere close to Fallowfield? Thats where my mates who go to uni in Manc all live, not far from the curry mile aparently... mmmm, curry :yum:

Oh, and by the way, we now all know your address for next year, mwahahahaha  ;)

Not the house number, it's not 14 :) Think the postcode is M14 (hence Manchester 14). I only intended to post the pics up but she must have made the page in publisher or something.
I might remove them if i feel it gives away my possibly identity a little too much, will see:)

Trust me, it's nice, well compared to the other two places which are what I thought they would all be.

Most people live in Fallowfield because it's cheap and has a huge student population. I absolutely HATE it. I would hate to live there, one reason why I am so positive about this, it's closer to the curry mile (Fallowfield and the curry mile are on Oxford Road/Wimslow rd (changes name), this is about 2/3 of the way to fallowfield and at the end of the curry mile. Will be able to cycle it in about 15 mins instead of 10 so am happy (fallow would be probably 20) or 40 on the bus.

Fallowfield is odd, I haven't ever been anywhere like it before, it's like a permament city centre 24hrs a day yet it's miles from the city!

Phoned up the landlady and she seemed happy to hear from me and was happy for me in that I may have two new flatmates. Leaving in about 25 minutes to meet them and then onto the houses for 6:30. I am not the best person at meeting new people so a little apprehensive and paranoid these will let me down like the other lot :(

Hope they are cool and commited!

OK, well I am back. Once again, cheers for the support.

They seem ok, one's from Pittsburg and the other from B'ham. Seemed fine, went to a pub, the yankee lit up a cigarette :( Ahhhh........

They liked the house it seems, the second one we saw (without laminate but a bigger kitchen although not as modem, I am in two minds which is better)

Will let me know on monday it seems, have no idea how they actually do feel. :(

F, they have also made "alternative arrangements" - great.

****ING great. What a waste of time. At least this time I know for sure it's not my annoying personality - well, unless it shined through within 60 minutes despite my trying to hide it.

Next move? Erm.

****.
