Sorry, I've only just seen this. To confuse you further, my CL had 135s fitted from new. 'G' registered in August 1989.

Yep.

That really does confuse things a bit.

Unless 155s were only fitted to the 1.0 from January '92 at the time of the facelift and modifications?

I think the tyre width was determined by the specification, rather than the engine - see if this fits what you find:

CLX and S ( 5 speed, comfy seats etc ) with 155 x 70

CL ( 4 speed and basic trim ) 135 x 80

4 x 4 Pandas 145 x ? Knobbly tyres

all on the same 4.00B x 13 rims...

The NEW Pandas on the FIAT Italy website still specify 4.00B x 13 rims.

Which is fine, execept for the CL we have with
4.50B x 13 rims (with 135 tyres [:0] )
Perhaps it was interfered with in the past[?]

Life's too short for me to worry any more about this one:D

Meanwhile....back to the thread[)].

My 95 Selecta has 14 inch Punto alloys, 185/60/14 tyres and drives nice.

I reckon those Cinq oe sienco alloys'll be fine;).
