Hello guys,

after a long time a new thing happened to my Stilo:

The odometer spontaneously resets itself to 102000km. This usually goes along with a weird average fuel consumption of 25l/100km. Then the odometer counts up normally until it resets itself to 102000km again.

Any suggestions?

Best,
Lars.

Just noticed your sig. You have an abarth dash in a 1.2. Do you mean you have abarth dials?
Generally they don't like each other. See yellostilo posts about fitting abarth dials. Does it do it on the original dials?

Hello Lars,

I put an Abarth instrument cluster in my 1.6L Stilo and had to fit a time delay circuit in between the switched power line to prevent "high coolant temperature" warnings and beeps during the initial start-up.
It also shows "cruise control activated" and sometimes it shows the level bar of the automatic light sensor which i don't have....
So there definately is a compatibility issue between the Abarth cluster and the 5NFt1 ecu of the 1.2 / 1.6L Stilo's....
Didn't you have any other problems after fitting your Abarth cluster?
I still haven't found the cause of these problems - I would fit the original cluster to check if the problem is solved after that - however it is a pity to remove the beautiful Abarth cluster , i agree...
Good luck finding a solution for your problem - please post here if you solved it ...

Well, the dash works just fine - it has been fitted to my car via proxy realignment through the examiner. That should not be the problem. I have a time delay circuit, but only for the CN+. Which unit actually calculates the mileage and trip computer settings?
BTW, I don't have the original dash anymore...

mileage and trip computer settings are stored in the instrument cluster.
Mileage is also stored in the engine ecu for reference.
I also did a proxy alignment procedure but i still have those compatibility issues...
I hope you will be able to solve your problem, good luck!

Might not be any connection in this case but quite a while ago a member or two posted this problem and it turned out to be due to a garage trying to reset the service counter without Examiner.

Just a thought :chin:
