Hi,
I'm the proud owner of a 64 plate 500 and love it. My problem is that I have a device to connect as a part of a survey for Michelin, it goes in the OBD socket but I can't find it!
The instructions that came with it say "under the steering wheel at the left" but I can't remove the panel that is there and can't see a way of doing so. Anyone?

Hello and welcome to the forum .

On RHD cars, look under the steering wheel and to the right. There's a gray panel with a handle/recess in it which looks like it's part of the dash.

With the driver's door open, put your hand in the handle/recess and pull the panel firmly towards you - it should come away cleanly in your hand.

The OBD socket is behind the panel.

No tools required.

Its to the right of the glovebox if your car is RHD, pull out the panel the has the storage tray thing. the one under the air vent.

Ours is RH drive.

Ours doesn't have a glovebox.

We have a tray on the passenger side, with a hidden drawer above that you have to unclip that drops down.

We have a little dropout tray to the right of the gearstick that hold cards and credit cards etc.

To the right of the steering wheel, we have a little tray and if you pull that out, that's where the OBD thingy is. You don't need the door open to pull it out.

Hope that helps,
Mick.
