O/T Problem with stereo

I`ve got a Mutant stereo off slysi, its a great stereo, which has a usb plug and SD card slot, plays cd`s fine, but it won`t play the usb flash dive or the SD card as it comes up with `error 12` when you plug them in one at a time, any ideas what this could be,
by the way it does say on the display usb memory/SD memory before its comes up with the error, so i`m guessin that the stereo does read it before comin up with the error

Slysi- don`t suppose you have the manual by any chance do you?, give us a shout if ya can

Cheers Sven, i`ll check it out tomorrow, and see if the reset button makes any difference, its the whole reason why i bought the stereo so i could use the usb instead of cd

have u got the iso connector for that head unit rob cos it loses its memory every time u turn the engine off i know its only in my car for a week while i wait for mine but its driving me crazy. is urs keeping its memory?

Yeah mines keepin memory no probs Si, i just cant use the usb plug at the mo
with yours you`ll need to look at the intructions and find out which wire is the permanant live so its keeps memory, its sounds as tho you have your wires in a different way to mine, as it always kept the memory ok with no probs, just don`t blow the stereo up
i`m gonna see if i can get hold of mutant by email and see if they can help with the usb/SD problem as i can`t so far figure out why they won`t work, and i`ve tried resettin it already

Not knowing much about mutant head Units, but my sony one with a USB slot has a hissy fit and wont play if the music files aren't the right format?
