My L reg 1994 Cinquecento (and for that matter my P reg 1997 F*rd F*iesta ) have at some time had their number plates replaced with the current style where the letters and digits are narrower than the originals. I know there are bigger problems in the world but they stick out like a sore thumb to me!

There are plenty of suppliers of number plates for cars of the 1970s and earlier, but what's the situation with more recent vehicles with 1983-onwards prefix plates? Is it possible to get hold of the correct style for these or are we stuck with the narrow font?

Steve

I have a private plate which is a prefix style, I’ve had it for years on several different cars, and at no point has it ever occurred to me to consider the font.

Dmb graphics did mine, identical to the originals which were still on the car but tatty
