Looks like I can't be making this now, had a suspected head gasket failure so got to pull the engine into a few bits to find out, definately leaking something through the rocker gasket though :bang:

Oil coming out of the thin edges of the rocker cover gasket (ie the edge next to the coil packs/gearbox and it's opposite side. Engine is very rough when running, sounds like its developed an occasional missfire, sluggish to accelerate and the temperature gauge has gone nuts.

With that nice long list of symptoms the car aint moving anywhere till I at least get chance to pull it bits and take a look!

Coolant doesnt appear to have any gunk in it but I can't think of many things there that could cause such symptoms without being something like the headgasket!

my mate got his iphone decibel meter thing out today and i got it off the scale at 105DB on 8 volume level

ask a lecturer if he can find me a proper DB meter so i can get some real accurate stats.

sabre dawg! lmao..it might be head gasket and it might not be. if oil is coming out this sounds to me like the rocker seal might have gone would explain the oil coming though and also maybe the misfire caused by a drop in compression.

Went to get alloys fitted today no luck getting them done on tuesday so will have to wait till after xmas to show them
