Has anyone else noticed what the modern way of doing roadworks is ?

Instead of setting up traffic lights, and subjecting the road gangs to a little bit of inconvenience, they close off the road all bloody night, regardless of how long the detour is. I recently was subjected to a 60 mile detour in Mid Wales in appaling weather. If I had not had a decent load of fuel on board I could of perrished.

I'm sure Health and Safety have their hands in that pie somewhere...... the inconvenience to us minions doesn't matter!

They often close the road due to the work been done the size and amount of large vehicles involved and the safety of the work force....

given some people cant seem to avoid running up the back of these vehicles

and things like this happen:

Then you get the utter morons who think its fun to lob items out of their cars at the staff doing the work (partially now why most workers wear hard hats despite there been no normal over head falling object risks from work based activities on site.....)

Those IPA lorries can be seen from miles away!
how the hell do people still hit them?

That lorry driver should have been done for dangerous driving

It sad the roads are such an unsafe place that nobody is safe
okay nobody ever was, but its such a problem now its on an uncontrollable spiral
