my Firewall is working fine as some one has been blocked 5 times in the lsat 24 hours...Anyone know how i can trace a ??? Can't think what the number is called now arghh mental block for eg. 51.511.535.545?????

you wont be under attack mate. Just servers routinely checking if you are still there. You could probably trace them but it wont tell you much, just ignore it.

If you do want to run a trace on an IP try:
http://samspade.org/t/refer?a=http://www.ripe.net/whois
and type the IP address into the IP address digger box... and click the Do Stuff button...
This will tell you where the address is registered... e.g. when I put in yours it said it was on the Ripe list which gave... http://www.ripe.net/whois
Went there and put in your IP again and it gave me NTL Oldham... if you wanted to go deeper you risk getting told off
And patrick... think the International code from the US is 44 then drop the zero... so 07972 becomes 447972... might be wrong ?
