That is some good news Sean!
Are you guys planning to start on Sat morning or Friday midday? You can't miss Rudland Ring steps!
I'm currently out of UK so can't make any more progress, after our return I'll upload footage from last Sun drive.

Looking good J. I bet those first few lanes are totally different in the wet!

You got it mate, first time I drove them being dry as that.
Gate approch just past that lovely green field ( 11 min +) is on bit incline, in wet i've tried four times - had to revers on to that hill on right and build some speed.

Re Duster - ground clereance will be fine, tyres and lacquer are in question as some sections have tight places with bushes close by. I will inform while on route.

Done the Friday route today, so started from White horse, what a lovely lane there, pretty mild but with two technical sections. Other field/forest lanes were cconfirmed, one ford on the way to Hutton-le-Hole will be crossed out and detour implemented.

Why crossed out? You don't whant to know - car did stalled in the middle of 25m ford of 1,5ft depth. My error as I had the rubber intake pipe plugged in, so engine sucked some water and bla bla bla... Tried to push but rocky bed was making it hard, footwells were full of water already, decided to use starter motor to get us across and that was the best idea. started after few minutes - with hesitation but can't blame it. Cleared completely after few miles.

Few photos will follow tommorow.

Looks great J, good work.

The only way with the water is slow and steady. If you're going that deep it's always going to come in around the pedal assembly I'd say, you can see how many years of it Hadrian's had...

Small adjustment done to NYM&C google map.
Guys, please let me know your feedback on the distances and route. Friday route is straight forward, I'm nicely surprised with recent reccy results, no diversions planned. On the Saturday route there is number of loops which can be easily omitted if decided so or anything else. Sunday- again, some miles/lanes can be dropped but we will be heading towards 'main' routes direction to make the journey back home bit easier.

Just to catch up, who will attend the Friday midday start?

Looking good, I'm excited! :)

Nic and I can't make the Friday afternoon as we're working but we'll come to the campsite in the evening. Shame to miss RR but can't be helped.

Just a little bit of research that might help - I think this is the nearest petrol station to the campsite:

It's a local type one so probably not long opening hours. The nearest late one seems to be an Esso in Whitby which is open until 11pm but there may be others depending on the routes people are taking.

As It looks like there might be only us on Friday, and bigg chance that most of people will miss the best sections i'm concidering altering the Sunday route a bit to include few from Friday.

The biggest concern was - can pandas go up hill on Rudland Rigg from Bank Foot end.
Today's weather and the temptation has won.

Well done Jacob, I know how hard that is!

I advise you to leave aside a good couple of hours to get everyone safely through the rocks :)
