(Sorry Roberto, English starts with a big/capital/uppercase E, but thanks for the support!!!)

Re: Re: Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

For the record I'm actually dyslexic, my primary school teachers thought I was just thick.

I've got 4 GCSEs (only took 4), 4 A-levels and a masters degree in Electronics.

Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

I might beg to differ on the capital "e". The word "english" does not automatically require a capital wherever it is used i.e. "He" when referring to Jesus (Although, why "He" gets special treatment is a whole other debate !)
But I'm not going to be pedantic or picky ;)

In a world where a vast majority of (ignorant) UK citizens expect, nay demand, that foreigners speak our language when we visit their countries, you would at least expect them to be able to speak it properly themselves !!

Anyway.....we're digressing from the subject of this post, and we must cease and desist forthwith ! ;)

Re: Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

In reply to Phil, to all whom the cap fits, whether they recognise it or not.

In reply to Roberto, check any dictionary. "E" There is only one English language. (Forget the American bastardisation.)

In reply to Tom, well done!!! (Not meant in a sarsastic way!)

We rest our case !! LOL ;)

Rob

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

Right, Azza, let's look at your "shorthand" shall we:

How is typing "wernt" quicker than wasnt, which is grammatically correct? (Although missing the apostrophe)

How is typing "duel" quicker than dual, the correct spelling?

Why put a space in the word carriageway? Surely, quicker without?

Why put an "s" in expecting? Surely, quicker without?

Surely, regained traction is quicker to type than "gained traction again", which also sounds ridiculous.

"but ya know not like no-one understands it!" WTF?!

You say "old timers".

I say illiterate youths!

No-one expects perfect grammar, spelling or punctuation all the time, but a little bit of effort would be nice.

BTW. Apologies again to Roberto, who I should treat as an ally on this one. (Blue on blue, bud. Sorry. Bad day at the office!)

Happy Easter to all!!

Mark.

P.S. No offence meant. Honestly!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

No need for apologies Mark ;)

After all, I'm only half English ;)

Rob

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

Oh, which half, Roberto? :)

Mark.

British by birth, English by the grace of God!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: NOOOOOOoo

The half that isn't Italian ;)

Born in the UK, from Italian & English parentage.

A Norwich fan by the grace of God !! LOL

(Not that I believe in God....Carrow Road is my place of worship !) ;)
