hey

Do you know any good mechanics or knowledable family members? My uncle got me a punto mk 1, 96, 1.2 very tidy car for £800 and she passed her first mot with me without any trouble! :D

Welcome to the site tho :p

Hi and welcome to the forum

Because of your age insurance is going to be your main issue when choosing a car. I'd suggest going for a Cinqecento/ Seicento Sporting as they're cheap to buy, run and insure plus they are great fun to drive. If you want something bigger then a mk1 or mk2 Punto would also be suitable though they are more expensive to run overall.

If you have a very rich mummy/ daddy then get a new 500/ Panda 100HP ;)

Good luck! (y)

Thanks for the welcomes guys :)

And thanks for the recomendations, will deffo look for a cento i reckon

I havent got a rich mummy and daddy tho, so no chance of a new 500 (n)

Alex, do yourself a favour. Don't think "I must buy a **** and underpowered car" because I'm 17.

Spend your money on a 'adequately' powered car, nothing ott. but nothing p!sstakingly slow.

That way, you can teach yourself how to drive responsibly, and still have a lil fun. Unless you are a chav of course, (as you are 17, this is very likely) then you can pick up a corsa for £500.
