Hi all.

Just looking for ideas on what I can get for £40-£50K. Dont want a drop bed as neither of us can manage steps.
Also dont want to clamber over each other, So needs to be an island or twin single.
Would like a garage.
Not 70 until Dec 26 so not too averse to C1.
Shower needs to be in its own enclosure.
We also need something larger than just a camper/van based.
Am I just a dreamer?

Hi Fletch1e and welcome, So many questions. Why would you like a garage as this, I believe, will restrict you to a fixed bed option. I have a 6 berth but it is only 5.6 mtrs. long. I make up my wife's and my bed every night. It takes about 3 minutes. A fixed bed normally means a longer van which can be awkward to park. I'm 71, by the way, and find it easy especially if you both work together. When looking for a van, try to decide where you want to go. Where can you park it when not in use. I knocked one of the garden walls, at the front of my house, down so I could park it on a gravel hard standing. I, also, installed an electric hook up in case I needed it to work in or on the van. I could go on and on. There are so many things to take into consideration. Try talking to an experienced motorhomer who you trust to be honest. Good luck in your search. Come back if you need help with anything specific. Someone on here will know the answer. Bye, Ian.

I too am 70 plus and just dropped nearly twice your budget on a CV that has
two single longitudinal beds [prostate cancer so ....]
big garage,
shower with enclosure,
plenty head room
9 speed automatic
LHD
I bought a 2011 version as I don't have the time to be waiting on parts for van that are much older, met plenty in France these past weeks delays on getting older parts.
Good luck with the mission
