i have no idea how you could just fit a buggy in the bravo as i have fitted and engine and many other things at the same time sure maybe a better folding buggy is more of an option than paying 5grand more on a car :)

I know an we bought the smaller buggy than the one Gill wanted. Buggy splits in two and folds in half.
Gill wants an X5 but all used ones are auto n she wants a manual. Lloyd Motors have a kitted up 05 Scoob for 10k, going to look at that and the beemers :-\
Thanks for the suggestions, will look into them ;-)

£10k? I never thought about looking for things like this before I bought the Civic haha

4 decent cars there mate, can see the benefits of all of them. Have to say, guessing the buggy must be quite a size as the Stilo's boot (on 3dr at least) is pretty decently sized and I'd guess the 5dr must be the same, which has the same wheelbase, etc as the Bravo of course. Guilietta seems to share a similar issue to the MiTo then in that Dynamic respect, most testers I've heard would just leave them in that mode too to get the most fun out of the car. Guess it could be good to have a more economical mode. But then hey, if you're considering an STi, I'm not sure if that's a concern for you's really

Lexus IS is an option but a mate had the 220d and though it pulled really well (think it's about 170hp or so plus the diesel torque), had a great interior, it cost a bomb to run. He also had issues with various mostly luck related, think about 3 prangs for example.

Honda Accord's nice, especially in Type S spec, I prefer the older shape, something like this which could be negotiable on price as it's main dealer...

...the diesels and estates though are also great options and that particular shape does seem to be mainly under the £10k mark especially for '06 cars. Seen one or two early new shapes for your budget too.

Mazda 6 is a good one too, apparently decent to drive though not sure about the space on offer compared to some rivals. Think Mondeos and Vecs tend to be a bit more accomodating in that respect. But anyway, could always get an MPS  ...

...though that is a saloon only. Still, the standard non-sporting versions should be well within budget and still a decent drive.

Could go for a 159 Estate perhaps. The 2.4's maybe out of reach, but an '06 1.9 like this looks decent enough...

And honda accords are for oap's

honda accord type r, a screaming 220bhp engine and a ride that could shake the pins from your hips, basicly a road going lightly detuned btcc car with some added luxuries.

not really what an oap would look for in a car

Go jap :) .

Accord, Mazad 6

Ming

Ming I want your babies what a sensible chap you are..OK they might be simular in technology to ford and for that matter volvo but the three companies do work together and share technology a great deal.. with the japs you get lots of car for the money with decent technology and reliability..20 years ago the motor industry laughed at the japs but lets be perfectly honest and frank here guys..who's having the last laugh now..

If I were to get a new car now and could afford it then it would be between honda and volvo..Fiat for me are now a total disappointment in more or less every way..

Some great suggestions there Rob, thanks. 159SW was considered, but new is far too expensive as it's not a dealer core car. Still looking for a relatively cheap used one. Mmm 156SW GTA now springs to mind

That shape Accord really don't float ma boat, especially the estate. They look like they got to the back and forgot how to style things. Ah thought about a Lex IS, but far too expensive even a used one and tbh there not all that special inside

Ooh hadn't thought of those

Rich, what about a Fiat Doblo.

Gill has postman pat's van for work (red doblo) and won't have one at home

I think he wants something good looking as well.

Yes, vanity does matter for Gill lol

Mrcento said:
well that rules out a nissan qashqai instantly then

Hence the MY11 version, sharper looking than the original and imo a bit of a head turner

I really dont like accords, and how many type r accords do you see on the road? They are too sensible, I find them boring and the only redeeming feature is that the engines seem reliable.

But they would be if bought by older people :p

The good thing about Mazda is that you have an idea what the fords will look like in the near future.

And Pnl, hope you don't take this personally but if you hate the brand so much then why keep coming on here? Lol it's like a person who hates marmite but buys it anyway lol
