Nokia N95 as music player

Hi folks,

Does anyone know how/if you can connect the Nokia N95 to Blue&me to play songs stored on the phone?

Have overcome the problems of pairing and uploading phonebook for phone functions thanks to a thread on here and that side of things now works perfectly (thanks)! but would really love to be able to play tunes via the phone as well.

I tried to use the same trick for music - i.e connecting via bluetooth marking music tracks and sending them via blutooth the phone said data transferred successfully but the media player on the car said "no media"

I haven't tried mucking about with the phones USB settings yet so I will try that - but does anyone have any ideas/help in the meantime?

Well if it's of any help, I know the phone is capable of it because I use this function on my N95 in my mk2 Panda, but with a Sony Bluetooth headunit, and not Blue and Me.

So it would all depend upon if the system can be setup to recieve streaming from the phone.

i dont think blue and me works like that, i think its solely intended to pair with your phone for making calls, and media via USB

Lads - that's the easiest thing to do - use the USB-miniUSB cable provided with your N95 and connect your phone with Blue&Me USB socket in the glove box. On the screen of Your N95 it will ask You what connection option u want to use and just choose file transfer mode-then ur n95 will work like a normal pendrive.

In my case i'm using n95 8gb with bluetooth turned on and it works fine with handsfree option and also connected with a usb cable as source of music (8GB).

I hope I helped u with that hint.

Hi.

Please can someone tell me how to get my Nokia N95 phone contacts onto the Blue and Me in my Fiat Bravo as I have tried everything and it is driving me mad.

My fiance has a Sony Ericsson phone and that was simple it just automatically downloaded the contacts. I think my numbers are on the sim card but not 100% sure or even if that makes a difference.
