Hi there. I suddenly have no speedometer, rev-counter or fuel gauge working on my 1.9JTD Multipla. When I start up the dispay reads 'check in progress' but doesn't clear or go through to the oil level; all other warning lights are working fine.

Any help/advice would be gratefully received.

Not come across this personally, but it's quite possible this is a bad connection on either supply or earth. Assuming you've checked the fuses a light tap on the console might be worth a try, otherwise you're looking at accessing the instrument console and checking supplies.
I could understand one failing but 3 at the same time is too much of a coincidence.

Like you momoe, one instrument going down would point to a failure of that system but all three! Anyway having done some more research I discovered that a guy with a Marea had a similar problem so assuming that Fiat would use silimlar systems across their ranges tried the fix he used.

I disconnected the battery and left it for some time (about an hour) to let all the CCU's reset, reconnected and bingo! everything was working again. I hope this is a momentary glitch and down to wonderful Italian electrics but we'll see.
