Hi guys.
Firstly i have to say that this is a brilliant site. all the feedback from you guys here are just magic. i think have saved about R10 000.00 in expences doing the jobs myself. thank you fro all the valuable input.

okay to the point. my uno (1995-1100) has lost its spark. initially the car just stopped. turned but refused to start. i changed the module. it started and on runs under rev. as soon as foot came off the juice it cut out. this happened three times then it just died. engine turns though.
i have changed the module (new one). put in new coil as well. still no spark. new destributor cap. still no spart. i put a live directly to the positive on the coil. still no spark. engine turns no spark. checked the fuse box. one of the square fuses (grey looks like it is blown) changing it. :slayer:please guys. i love this car.:slayer: no giving up

Might sound silly, but have you actually changed/checked the spark plugs? I havent seen you say that.

or am I missing something?

(is the "module" you mentioned the spark plug?)

i had a the same problem with one of my cars, after changing all the obvious i still had no spark: plugs, leads, coil etc.you mentioned changing the distributor cap but have you changed the entire distributor by unbolting from engine and replacing it? this seemed to work for me. or is this what you ment by changing the ''module'' ?

thanks for the replies guys. let me clarify.
i changed the module on the distributor. (the silver thing with the cooling fins.) i changed the electronic starter coil (new). I put in a new Distributor ( unbolted old and replace with new). nothing still. changed the spark plucgs all four. nothing. used a tester that lighes up when current runs through it to check power. (no power from electronic coil)
the three thing thats fits into the starter coil slot in on the pins side. (not the the pat that lead to the distributor cap the oval shape one. the one that has three wires going to it. (orange, red & green). when i put the tester in negative an place it on the orange cable it lights up. when i place the tester on the positive nothing happens with the other two.
i have even checked the guse box under the dash. replaced the relay.
still no joy.
the engine does turn though. it is just no sparking up.
please guys. reall.
my life is in jeopardy. (hangin in :slayer:) with lots of :bang:

thanx for the replies they are appreciated.
