General No power, turbo problem can you help

Hi All, I have a Ducato 2.8ltr tdt 2001 27,000 miles, it has no power at the top end, untill we disconnected exhaust so we think the cat is blocked so a straight through pipe has been purchased, we also noticed that the waste gate on the turbo has siezed, can this be freed off if so how, not sure what position it is stuck in. please help

Hi there,
Waste gate is held closed agianist turbo body normally, Is it the acctuater siezed up , have you removed that from the lever to try first ?
As for turbo body is steel I would say use a good penertrating fliud n plenty of it or immerse it in fluid to try n free it off.
Cannot see a reason why it will not free up . turbo on mine is a triple k type and splits down well so getting to bits is quite simple, resealed mine as had smoking problem but was not that , but all good fun.
Hope it might help ya, mind somebody else might have a easier solution??????
