I need some help again. Bless my Trekking she has now decided not to operate dip beam both sides involved. Its raining on the mountain so I'm stuck at the moment to delve into the bowels of the fuse box that I hate with a vengeance on this car, the fuse holders are very very delicate :cry::cry:

The side lights work (y) no dip beam :( rear fog light will work (y) main beam works (y) and main and spots work (y)

I have changed the switch on the dash for a new one problem remains :yuck:

Does the dip beam run through a relay located on my horrible fuse panel?

bulbs are ok. If my failing memory serves me correctly should I have a fuse for each dip beam?

hmm i am not sure.. i have heard people say that it does run through a relay, and some say it does not.

my sisley and project fallout run direct through the switch.

besides checking earths, and the switch.. i am not sure what it could be.
does your dim dip still work when the side lights come on?

Thanks for your replies. I have side lights half light dip beam as normal when side light are on pull switch down for dip beam and nothing except I can switch on fog lights when in this position. move switch up to side lights only and fog lights go out.

On the stalk if pulled down main beam comes on no problem back , pull stalk back main beam comes on.

The earth on the Trekking is via a big bolt bolted to the inner wing, Fiats idea not mine.

Just at the moment I can not get my head round why both are out and remain out even with new switch, bloody rain kept me away from car today.

the resistor I will have to take a look at on the Trekking the winding is almost twice as thick as the standard UK ones fitted to all the Pandas I have must be a reason for it Fiat upgrade possibly as it is a L/H/D version

The Trekking is a 2000 build and Fiat did away with the hedgehog system and moved to a 13mm bolt and nice big earth rings at end of thicker earth wires.

I don't think its a earth problem but not ruled out yet.
