No Claims

Hello all,

I took a policy out with chris knott back in november and now i am looking at changing my car from a 1.4 8v with mods to a 1.9 mjet without.

chris knott said that they only usually look at insurance policies on car like these when the driver is 22? im 21btw, then they rang me back with a quote of £750??

Then they told me that i would have to pay £90+ for the changes.

i can get insured on compare the market for £650

could i cancel my policy with one insurer and transfer my no claims to my new policy if i do decide to swap or do i have to bite the bullet and pay the £90+ for a policy which is cheaper than my existing one?

Have you gone back to Chris Knott and stated that you can get an equivalent policy for £650?

Yes, but will loose the few month NCD earnt from November.

Yes i told them that i had got that quote before they even give me a price

anyway as long as i can use my previous no claims on a fresh policy thats good to know, just incase i do decide to trade my car (even though its going to be tough parting haha)
