no battery, can i connect for electrics?

My stilo no longer runs and the battery has died non use.
I now need to get in to the boot but the key doesn't turn and the electric opener doesn't work without the battery obviously...would it be possible and safe to connect jump leads from another car straight to the connections on the stilo so i could get the electrics to open the boot??

As long as polarity is right and your not going to crank the engine over, theres no harm. Just make sure that the positive doesn't touch the body otherwise you'd be looking at a new battery at the very least for the other party.

Yes it will work
Ensure as said tho you dont earth a positive feed
And dont catch the terminal together

ECU's dont like voltage spikes so ensure the donors cars engine isn't running either

The battery should withstand easily opening a set of locks on a donor car
