Hey Davie, welcome to the forum!

Does this happen every time you press the AM button? Any error messages show up or just it displays the frequency but doesn't give any sound for it? Get any static/white noise in AM mode?

Hi Chris

Cheers for the reply

Every time i switch to AM the stereo scans through the frequencies and doesn't pick any radio stations up.
If I set it to a know radio station frequency like 693 for Radio 5 live it gives no sound.

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

Davie

When you say it gives no sound, do you mean there is silence from the speakers, or just interference noise?

If you get interference noise I'd check the aerial hasn't come out of the back of the head unit.
If you get silence, it sounds like the AM tuner may have died.

There is silence when the stereo is on AM function

So guessing that the AM tuner is dead because the FM function works perfectly unless there is two different aerial signals for the two different frequency bands.

Cheers for the reply Juggers
