Newbie with a problem

Hi everyone. I've been meaning to join this forum for a while, but my hand's been forced by a problem today with my wife's 500C. For the first time in several months, she tried to open the convertible roof this morning. No noise was heard and it simply stayed stubbornly shut. I've checked the fuse, which appears to be intact. I've also manually opened the roof using a socket set, making sure movement is free and lubricated the track at the same time. I'm suspecting the switch, rather than the motor, due to the fuse being intact. Anyone else had this issue? Thank you in anticipation everyone.
