Hi again all

Being brand new to Fiat ownership, I have many, many questions regarding our 2008 1.9 litre Turbo Diesel Sporting. I would be most grateful for any help.

What brand of tyre do 1.9 Sporting Grande Punto come with when new? Can you recommend what works best on the Sporting model; tyre size 205/45VR 17 inches.

Where were the 2008 Grande Punto's made?

Does my car have a DPF Diesel Particulate Filter?

When changing the Cam/timing belt, would the auxiliary belt be in the kit too, or is it a separate job? Many thanks.

probably best to ask in the GPsection for a more informed answer,
usually on belt changes toy are advised to fit ;

AUX. belt,
Timing belt,
Belt tensioner pulleys,
and the Waterpump

with the tyres,
you may find the originals have been superseded,

So the cambelt job would include all of the above as standard then.

if you ask for a cambelt change - that's exactly what you'll get,
some will do belt + pulleys as a kit,
BUt the wterpump is a recommended addition as the Cam-belt runs on it.. = if the waterpump fails it can throw the Cam-belt , resulting in a scrap engine,
same with the AUX belt,
too many cases of an elderly AUX belt breaking-up and getting wrapped in the works,

my advice would be go to a reputable garage that YOU trust to do it properly, and get all the above changed,
there may well be a FIAT / Alfa indy near to you,

Hi Many thanks, the car has had the cambelt changed, when we bought it. So we just need to find out what else was done at the time..
