Technical Newbie needs help - headlights

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and Fiat Punto's.
I recently inherited a 97 Punto SX and I have to say I'm delighted with it.
The only problem I have is that my dipped headlight on the drivers side doesn't work.

The full headlight works fine but not the dipped one.
I thought it was a simple case of changing the bulb which I did, but to no avail. I also checked all the fuses and they also seem fine.

Anyone any idea why only the dipped headlight isn't working before I bring it to a garage.

Check for a 12v supply voltage at the plug for the bulbs, if its there suspect the plug, if not try to work back via the Dip / Main beam circuitry, and electrical diagram might help.
