General newbie mk1 punto owner

Hi all, will be picking up a 1995 1.7d in a few days which i won on ebay unseen, its in ok condition with 6m mot, 115k miles, and an amount of service history, apparently everything works on it and a good runner, it had the cambelt changed at 75k, should i be looking at putting a new belt and pullies on it??, any other pointers i should look for above the obvious before i part with the cash

hi, welcome

find out what year the belt was last done, if its more than 5 years it will need doing again, if under 5 years should be fine.

check for floor pan rust.

it was may 2007 so it will need doing then, is it a easy home diy job??

iv never done one on the td engine in the earlier punto's so not sure, try google it, im sure someone has asked either here or else where.

:wave: welcome to here.. i also have no experience of the mk1 diesels - i think they are covered by the mk1 punto haynes though
