Ducato Newbie looking for help

Hi there,
Almost 3 years ago myself and herself got a campervan that had been converted from a commercial ducato van. Its a 2000 2.8 diesel, it had only 20,000 miles on it and we've done half that again in 3 years. So far no major problems but this year the speedo stopped working. My local mechanic checked it out and found a small cog was broken at the gear box end of the cable; he managed to sort it and the speedo worked again for a short time but has gone again! My mechanic says the cable is now broken but new ones are not available from FIAT anymore! Any help appreciated. Colin

plenty of aftermarket sources for all sorts of automotive cables..,

TBH it's usually only the inner that breaks.. just fit a new inner,

Thanks for the reply. I am living on the west coast of Ireland. There are not too many parts suppliers here! Can you offer any good websites?

They're available on ebay and a seller d-p-d-p can supply that part try them

Yes thanks. The suggested dealer on ebay came up with the right cable and everything seems to be working OK. Thanks again.
