, and dont fancy taking it to fiat to be repaired as we all know how much the charge!!

Someone pleaseeeeeeeeeeee help!!!

Thanks, Craig.

Hold it against your head and press unlock?

Amongst that list you mentioned, you didn't say whether you had replaced the battery in the key fob or not...have you?
Replaced the battery because that is why the key stopped working in the first place I think. With the new battery in the red led on the fob is working but gets no response at all from the car?

Unfortunatley I dont and wouldnt have the first idea of what to do? Dealer the only option for me then? lol

I have no idea where Gosport is lol but if there's anyone on here who's quite local to you then I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help you out! We're all a friendly bunch :p

My reckoning is that the car has just lost comminication with the fob somewhere, maybe body computer? And I think (hope) this can be rectified with a simple proxy allignment. Other things can be tried with FES I'm sure but try and find someone local with FES willing to help you out.

Very south of England lol but i am actually from greenock and just down here for work. Thanks for the help buddy.

If you find someone to help with the full FES multiscan software you will need the Electronic code for your car, if you do not have this then you will not be able to use the software to setup the remote but you can purchase the code from fiat dealer, i have used the software to setup an extra remote for mine using FES multiscan and it does work but as stated you will need the code am not sure if you take it to fiat dealer to have done on their system if you need code but again they will charge you for the code if they do require it.

Re what mhowse said, if you don't have the security code card with the number on it them go to the dealers and they'll get in contact with the right people for it. £15 there abouts it will cost, if you don't have it..
No worries, If im coming up to Scotland in the next few months il give you a shout if i dont get it sorted before then. What are you driving?
And thanks Mhowse!!

Nice one! how do you find it performance wise? I was considering getting mine mapped but I put the car in to get the turbo regulator valve replaced and im sure theve put the wrong one in as it seems quite a bit faster than before and also beat a few other 1.9 jtd's? pretty nippy anyway! more torque than anything i think!

It's very nice! Pulls surprisingly well through second and third gears  Remove the back seats & spare wheel and it handles like a go kart :D

Have you had the valve relocated to the side of the battery tray? It was a known problem of these failing due to the position Fiat placed them, prone to water damage (n) I'm no diesel fanatic so I don't know, maybe they went and blanked your EGR for you while they were at it ;) Remap it definately! Fit the turbo off the 2.2 diesel Alfa, blank egr and remap and you will see maybe 200bhp and torque like you won't believe :D

Sounds like youve spent sone time on it! couldnt do that to the car just now because rely on it for work and i know for a facr if i spent all that time and money on it i would end up blowing the engine up haha maybe just a remap to start, been looking at different ones and my uncle knows someone in motherwell who does full custom maps and dyno runs etc.... They can put it up to about 150ish and the torque increase is massive aswell and all that for only 270 quid! Bit of a cheaper option and shouldnt do tht much damage to the engine! dont know how you can be a fan of diesels, i think there the way forward, especially the new ones i know a lad with a punto 1.9 multi jet mapped and a good few quid spent on it under the bonnet and it was sitting about 210 bhp and gave subarus a run for there money! Unreal!

I spend far too much time on it! I've had just about everything off the car now! Just can't stop messing about with it lol

You're right, I don't see how I can be a fan of diesels either :)

I just prefer petrols, sure a turbo diesel can give power and economy but stick a turbo on a petrol and they can certainly give them a run. And the noise! Diesels just sound boring compared to them :p

But each to their own I suppose, whether it's got a diesel or petrol engine, the Stilo still looks awesome! :D

Haha il agree with you on the noise part, I love all cars tbh lol especially ones that are quick! Ive said im going to do sruff to mine but never bother my arse!
