500 Newbie in Newcastle

Hi
Just got my hands on silver 500 , 61 plate, 9100k on clock and I love it.
Previously had a Chrysler Crossfire and totally fallen in love with my 500.
Read manuals etc and bits on forum however could someone please tell me is there a compartment next to my left knee , underneath the gear stick or is it for access to electrics ?
Probably answered elseswhere but hey ho I'm a newbie afterall

Yes, there is a small compartment there - just pull it towards you to open it.
