Another newbie here and new owner of a 2012 Panda Lounge 1.2L which I hope will provide me with a reliable way to get around in something which in my opinion has an easy on the eye look coupled with a bit of character, but also practical

That's exactly what I thought when I brought my Panda Pop 5 years ago & haven't looked back since. I also tried a Tipo but I just didn't like it & it also felt cheap & nasty. If you get any genuine accessories you can you can make them unique as I have done with my car, although some of the genuine Fiat accessories are becoming a bit hard to get hold of now
