Technical newbie from sunny brum uk

Hiya guys . Craig here from sunny brim . anyway here's the first of many question to come . I have the dreaded clutch judder on my newly acquired 03 1.9jtd.i just replaced the rear dog bone but couldn't help but notice there was approx 15mm of spacers between the old mount and the subframe . my new mount is thicker so I've only used 2 so question is are these spacers supposed to be there . Any help much appreciated in advance

Blimey...looks like nobody's changed a gearbox mount??????

i dont remember using spacers when i replaced mine, or seeing any.

replacement did improve the clutch judder, but as of more recently i followed this guide :-https://www.fiatforum.com/multipla/440671-clutch-lever-lubrication.html and its almost eliminated clutch judder completely.
