Hi All,

As the title suggests, I am the proud new owner of a light blue JTD130 sold to me by Michael (username Valeen) (y)

I travelled a 600 mile trip to pick her up and glad to say that Michael had been honest in his description of the car. We agreed on a price and I drove her back yesterday evening. She pulls well as standard - impressed so far!

No plans yet apart from a BMC panel air filter - I will look to add some new alloys and a remap at a later point.

I'm no stranger to Fiats having owned a 3 door Tipo 16v and another Marea JTD130 - both rare cars.

Hope to be a regular user of the forum in the future:worship:

Thanks,
Lee

Mountain Machine - yes I did! (y)
Did you buy it - if so, what's it like?

I'm looking to buy another one now I've got the Marea! :bang:

Tipo Sedicivalvole and Marea JTD130... Both excellent cars to have on your 'owned' list (y)

Having been in that very Marea a few times I'll say it's a damn good example. The engine and box still feel tight and like new. It's probably getting around to needing a refresh of its suspension to give it that 'like new' feel however wouldn't you after sitting on it for 7 years and is it about 80k? :p

Glad you're enjoying it and welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome

I'm glad to see Mick's car has gone to a Fiat fan :)

Thanks for all your replies, I'm feeling very welcome

Hellcat - yep, very lucky to have owned the Sedicivalvole, and I understand the 3door was even rarer! :slayer: I loved that car, especially the dash with all it's dials. Never had an ounce of trouble from it either.

Again, I never realised how rare the Marea JTD130 was until I bought my first one. Learnt my lesson as that one was in bad nick :bang: But it did give me the bug - even with all it's problems I still missed it
Having driven Michaels I realised it's a great example of this car and the gearbox and clutch are still tight. I agree, the suspension is a little tired which is to be expected given it's age, therefore Hellcat, I've sent you a PM regarding the suspension stuff for my Marea! (y)

Michael - the car was lovely to drive home and got me back fine. It was worth the trip! I'll definitely be looking after her, don't worry about that! :worship:

MountainMachine - I will be interested to hear your view on the BMC - saying that I may get one soon just to get that lovely 5 cylinder diesel warble sounding even tastier!

& now I've bought it!

Mainly for 'er indoors' to use as a daily commute but after tidying up a few bits hope to enjoy the car as well.

Not quite as torquey as my 138bhp Kia Carens but it'lldo!

Mark.
