Hi again all,

Another problem with our multi :(

It's recently started to be quite lumpy when ticking over and it seems to lose power at some point in the rev range, but if you give it a bit of welly it will pick up. I'm assuming (yes, I know... ) that it's either fuel/air starvation, or a faulty/full fuel filter rather than something more serious as the car will happily motor on at 80 all day long, once it gets there.

I've had the air filter out and given it a good clean - not sure where the fuel filter is but wondered if there was any other ideas on what the problem might be?

Many thanks,

Scott

Hi

I have a 53 plate 1.6 petrol and recently it did the same. it was misfiring and generally driving poor.

I had it to my mechanic and he thought it may have been a blocked injector/s but the problem was solved by fitting a new ignition coil (around £70 but they were on sale on ebay for £35) and leads (around £25). it worked out around £130 pounds for parts and labour but our car is running fine now.

hope this helps

Finto

Petrol - will try to locate a new coil and leads and will report back :)

Thanks!
