Custard, just upgraded my BIOS on my laptop to fix a fan problem, fixed the fan problem but the new BIOS also has increased support for the CPU speed it seems. I always thought Centrino chips could only drop to 800mhz (for mine; 1.7ghz one).

Why am I saying this? My laptop is currently running at 200mhz....so your PDA is quicker than my laptop at this moment! Then again, so is my Dell X5

yup it does look impressive. used the sonyericsson p800/p900 and p910's before but always felt there was just too much compromise off the PDA functions over the phone functions

well its finally here
fairly weighty but with so much spec couldnt expect anything else.
screen is excellent. dont have wifi here but did manage to pick up a couple of neighbours networks.one of which was non passworded and browsing was impressive though they dont seem to have the network on all the time

yet to do much with it and i dont know anyone with a 3g phone also had a play with msn mobile and it works well.

flips aspect ratio on the screen nice n quickly when the screen is flipped

That's useful, always thought that should be integrated into all PDAs, only requires a tilt switch!

I play that on my PDA too when I am bored on trains etc....so useful

one thing i have noticed(well 2) for browsing.wish it had a scroll wheel for scrolling web pages and/or the ability to move the slider to the left of the screen.
one thing with the p series is the handy jog dial.though no chance of the full range on a non sony unit

yup its the newest version. played around with some older software for pocket pc and mobile 5 wont recognize it

It's a necessity! People never understood why I used to have it on on the way to work in the summer....the route never changed and I knew the roads like the back of my hand. I like to watch myself on a little screen.

fact is it is handy for those odd times you need to find somwwhere.like the back of beyond courier depot to pick up yuor PDA.oh hold on um how would that work?what came first the PDA or the GPS
