Just got my 1966 500F off the boat from Sicily looking for a good mechanic in the area if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Welcome to another USA Fiat 500 owner. You need to join the National Fiat club called Fiat Lancia Unlimited (FLU). Go to www.flu.org There you can join the club. If you post on the forum you can get some help and direction from club members in the Washington, DC area (there are members there).
Best source of parts for the 500 in the USA is Mr. Fiat in Atlanta. www.mrfiat.com

I checked out the site it looks like the DC chapter has not updated much lately. There should be a DC drive to capitol hill
