Hi I'm new here I have a W plate 2000 5 door Punto called Penny inherited the name from previous owner.
Have had the car 6yrs with only wear and tear parts replaced ie: brake pads, exhaust, tyres, bulbs, ball joints, cambelt, oil, filters, wiper blades,
I had the clutch replaced yesterday with over 103000 miles on clock so For a £500 car with only 40k and two previous owners I feel I have done exceptionally well.
And I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing another in the future should the need arise.
But I'm hoping this will last me for a few more years yet.
Btw this is my first ever Fiat in over 45 yrs of motoring :)

hi there

they do have a sort of charm which makes them enjoyable to drive and cheap to own, they just do what they are made to do so its no supprise you're happy with it.

given its age be on the look out for rust as many cars much newer than yours have met the scrap yard due to dangerous tin worm. if its all clean then get some treatment on it sooner rather than later

Hi Phiggys and welcome. Good to hear about the ones that are running well for a change. Clearly you are doing something devious - you probably check it regularly and do some maintenance or some clever trick like that.
Ours is about the same age and mileage and has given very little trouble. Most important never left us on the side of the road.
