2018 500e New-to-Me!

About fifty years ago I bought a NEW Subaru 360 Deluxe for $400 (pictured below 500e Sport) It was a Kei Car, had a 362cc 2-stroke rear engine, 16 h.p, an oil burner, suicide doors. I drove it for a couple years then gave it to a friend who later told me it was stolen. Now that little car is having a moment -- check sale price for vintage micro car at around $40K. But I digress.

I'm very happy with the 500e. I use the Level 1 120VAC charger, maintain the HV battery between 35% and 85% with about 5 hours charge time. On another forum I read that I should absolutely disconnect the humidity sensor (next to the rearview mirror on the windshield) which I did, easy peasy. Now my wife's 2016 Subaru Outback gets driven so infrequently, I had to put it on a trickle charger...

Then you must hate the FIAT 500. Because that little Subaru Kei car, in my opinion, is ugly AF. But to each his own.

The vintage Subaru 360 inspired this 2025 Subaru 360 — the NEW 360 — which is an EV with to me, a much nicer design than the one I owned in 1970…

Then you must hate the FIAT 500.

I love the Fiat 500 (new and more so the original) , I said I preferred the 360

I've always liked small cars obviously inc. any Kei car, the original 500 is the first car I got to play in as a young lad (when I was younger than 10), a friend's family had one, not sure if it was a runner or not at the time.
