Hi
New member here. I don't currently have a Fiat but have owned many in the past a Fiat127,Fiat 128 (how many remember them?), a classic 500 and got my ma in Law a Cinquecento a while back.
I am now seriously considering a new Grande Punto Eleganza possibly with Dualogic transmission. That is if I can tear myself away from the new 500 - love it but boot is slightly too small for my needs. Should I wait for the forthcoming 500 station wagon ?
I currently drive a company (non-Fiat) car with 'robotised' gearbox and although it's not the best auto I have driven, I don't really want to go back to a manual when I buy my own car. What is the general opinion of the Dualogic ? Opinions welcome.

I remember the 124, 127 and 128's from my youth.

My very first fiat was a 1961 600D. It had a 4 cylinder rear mounted 750cc water cooled engine and was a complete pile of c**p. But it did teach me all about cars and taught me that if you use silicon glue you can reuse a head gasket many many times over :)

Hey, First post! im currently on my second Fiat and they have both been puntos. Used to own a Punto 1.1 LX N reg. and sadly it a pile of crap! but i loved it! the windscreen motors were dying so made a terrible noise like a growl, the heaters never worked in the winter, it smelt!, the key code was broken so had to manually put a code in just to start it up everytime.

The punto im on now is a 51 reg 1.25 sporting 16v i think and it's alot better but there have been alot of electircal problems with it. sensors have gone bust (engine temperature and oxygen sensor causing misfires and engine managment light to come on) Thermostat has gone bust before! radiator has been replaced and the worst of all the Cam belt broke which cost a fortune as all 16v pistons were bent!

other than that puntos are ok in my books!
