Technical New to fiat, 2006 jtd 2,3 bus gearbox, anything else fit

Hi I have reacently bought a 2006 Ducato bus 2,3 jtd, gbox code number is 9431365021 gear box selector rod seized in 2nd and won’t go up and down without persuasion. I am looking for a replacement in Essex, and would like to know a, if anybody knows the wear a-bouts of one b, does anything else fit, 3, the best place to get the parts to recondition myself, and d can you split the gearbox from the bell housing in situe thanks guys.

Probably of little help, but the ratios of the gearboxes for the 2.3jtd, and 2.8jtd are the same.. See table in eLearn here. Most probably the gearboxes themselves are identical.
