Afer getting my car broken into and most of the system beinf stolen im on the hunt for a good setup to go with what i do have left i have got the headunit still and a set of vibe components for the front, what can i get in terms of subs or amps and what would be the best setup for a fiat punot listening to mostly r&b and garage!

I did like the one i had but there were 2 12" subs and 2 amps im sort of looking at getting a single sub now but better quality with a decent amp to run that and another amp to run the component speakers, i cant decide weather to just run front component speakers or run the front speakers and also rears!

Iv still got my 6x9's in the rear they didnt take the parcel shelf and iv got some vibe component speakers and jbl coaxles which are in my room as i didnt get round to fitting them so basically its subs and amps im looking at, i havent got a set budget il go for what is quality and will be the best set-up for my car!
All the wiring is still in place to a point just needs tidying up and new connectors fitting where they ripped it out last time
Thanx for you help

right so if i get an amp for the front components and a seperate amp for the sub would that be better? Why is it not a good idea to amp the rears?
Also is there any particular size subs recommended for A punto due to the size of the car?

So if iv got a 2 channel JBL amp running my vibe front components, then another of the JBL amps running my MTX 12" sub and just have the rear speakers running from the HU? Would that be a decent set-up as far as it goes?

Depends.

How much umph do you want?

It's a lot easier to fit just one amp, if you get one that does say 4 x 50 rms or 2 x 200 bridged, then that'll be ample.

Like Custard said, "soundstage" or the image of where the sound is coming from, like being at a concert, you face the band right? Sub bass is non directional so it doesn't matter where the sub is, but for the mid - upper frequencies, it does. Fit the biggest speakers you can upfront.

I've tried speakers in the back personally prefer it without.

Not really. It depends on the sound you're after. Generally, 10" subs are punchy, with good sound quality, 15" subs are bassier and 12" subs are a mix of both. Generally. There is also the enclosure to consider too, sealed or ported, again, generally, sealed gives better SQ and ported will be louder.

For your musical tastes, a 12" sub in a ported enclosure wil probably do the trick.
