More fun with my recently acquired Punto MK1 60S I have replaced the front disks & pads.
The sump had rusted & was leaking so I replaced it with one I had on the shelf I'm glad I did as I have now found out why my oil light was slow going out on start up.

this is the oil pick up the sludge was like concrete!
Make you wonder when the oil was last changed by the previous owner!!!?
I have filled it with diesel oil as it is high in detergent & should help to wash out some of the sludge I'll run it for 1000 miles & change the oil & filter again.
I've also sorted out a slight rear end ding (Bang?) & replaced the tail gate it was a bit twisted.
I've got another possible problem I replaced the fuel filter & had a problem because the pipe from the tank was a bit short made changing the filter difficult I tried to pull a bit more pipe & unfortunately it has broken the crappy plastic pipe stub on the tank unit (bu***r) I have repaired it with a sleeve pushed & superglued into the broken parts but I will probably need a new tank unit - do I have to replace the whole thing? any suggestions?
All good fun! (not)
