Nice, motor, great value cars now. I had a 2002 52 plate Stilo Abarth for about 3 years. Performance was ok but not outstanding, I remember atleast one arse clencher, crap suspension, suspect brakes and speed is a dodgy combination. I've now got a 3.2 Alfa 156 GTA and it's quite a bit quicker and surprisingly turns in better fuel economy than the Stilo could ever manage despite having a great capacity and higher performance. As for hill starts, riding the clutch is a terrible technique and will smoke your clutch, try using the handbrake which is what it's designed for.
