new speakers

hi everyone,just bought some new 500W 4 way rear speakers for my seicento schumacher,boss audio,was going to ask a neighbour's lad who say's he knows what to do to fit them for me,is it easy to do or shall i get electrician to do it,dont want to offend him if an easy job .thank you

Do you mean 6X9's? If so its a relatively easy Job. Just cut a hole in the shelf and whip some wires from the head unit under the sills into the boot.

As for if your neighbour can do it. Who knows??? We dont know the lad. Its one of those things that is easy to one person but not the others.

Also if you were doing it properly you would make a new Parcel shelf out of MDF. The standard fibre board wont last long and its not made to act as a speaker baffle so they wont sound anywhere near their best.
