Hello, thought I'd give you a quick bio to let you know what stage I am at currently.

Turned 17 in April and hit the roads straight away, bought my Punto at the beginning of June and have booked my test for August.

Here are a few snaps of my car:

At the moment the car looks pretty standard really just default with no add ons.

What I am planning to do is get some alloys and maybe some colour coded bumpers etc.

I'm just after some advice about how to go about getting them fitted and what size etc I will need. I'm looking for black alloys by the way, so if you know of any deals it would be appreciated.

Also if theres any other little perks and add ons that are relatively good buck for bang, (cheap but effective) let us know.

My budget is fairly extensive as I have about £750 stashed away for the car, so I dont mind stretching a bit to meet certain prices.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Luke:)

go for sporting alloys and refurb them in black (y)

and you already have colour coded bumpers:D

Thanks.

Do you know of any good cheap sites for alloys or would it be best to goto a local garage?

Also about lights? What lights are good for puntos?

Its a mk2 (not to be confused with a mk2b).

May I suggest something like these refurbed in black (possibly from somewher like here), as well as colour coding the mirrors and handles, debadging and smooth siding it (see the guides section), tinting the rear windows (DIY job with a precut set like this), abarth side skirts, tint your rear lights and side repeaters (tint from halfords), black angel eye headlights (like these) and possibly abarth centre caps and an adhesive badge to go on top of the front fiat one.

I would love to start again on mine *sighs*, good luck.

Be careful about the window tints, the kit linked to only allows 50% of light through the front side windows and therefore is illegal to use on the road (must allow at least 70% through the front side windows, can do what you like to the back) . Additionally as a new and young driver you will need all the help you can get to stop you crashing and breaking your lovely punto +/- you.

:D
