Hello I fitted a alpine ics-x7 double din unit into my fiat 500. All works well until the 500's stop start system cuts in. As the car restarts it turns off or restarts my head unit. I took a feed from the 12v socket.
As anyone used a different feed and had no problems ?

It's the load on the battery, results in the current required for the amp to work being lower than when the car isn't starting. Not really something you can get around unfortunately to the best of my knowledge, unless you can fit one of these big sub / amp capacitor things to prevent the drain reaching the headunit, but that's getting a bit out of my depth tbh.

It's just a head unit no subs or amps installed. The problem is every ignition feed I can find in interrupted when the car uses the stat stop function. It's like me turning the ignition off then on again. Today I tryed every ignision feed I could find all the same. I will up load a video later.

No, all head units had a built in amplifier, this is what powers the speakers. If the battery voltage drops enough when firing the starter motor the amp in the head unit will cut out.

Switched ignition feed from the ignition barrel won't cut out when SS restarts, and TBH iirc the power outlet doesn't either.
