Hello,

I want to change the clutch on my Ducato van 2.3 120cv 2011, can a luk, sachs or valeo kit fit the OEM flywheel ? I've read somewhere that there might be incompatibiliy issues and now i am scared to buy one wihout being sure there won't be any issue with existing flywheel.

Many thanks for your help,

Model
Ducato 2.3 120cv MJT
Year
2011
If fiat used both makes during assembly you won't know which was used during assembly.
You will only know type when doing replacement and can see clutch.
You must use the clutch kit make matching the flywheel make.

If you use autodoc and safe order you could purchase both options , them you know you will have clutch that will fit whichever flywheel you have. Return the clutch you don't need for free

Make 100% sure your flywheel is serviceable or you will be doing the whole task all over again soon after fitting clutch.

How many miles /kms vehicle covered?

Hi, thanks so much for your reply.
vehicle has 125k KM

You only mention valeo or sachs, are those the oem suppliers ? what about luk? Somebody just told me sachs was not that good, what do you think?
I also want to change the flywheel because pedal shakes when downgrading from 4 to 3 and 3 to 2 speed, but I was thinking of finding a second-hand one because it is too expensive. However, then it makes things even more complex.

Edit: Looks like Luk does not make flywheel for manual gearbox for this model, does that mean their kit fits all flywheel?

A thousand more thanks

I haven't checked but if luk make clutch for your ducato it will not fit both flywheel types.

Yes flywheel can be expensive but would you really want to risk using a used one knowing it is a already worn ? So you may have to do the job all over again soon after doing it?

First you must check with VIN, there are SMF+Valeo disc (you could use any clutch kit) and DMF LuK/Sachs (you should use specific kit).

@jackwhoo thanks again. yes you are right but the valeo or sachs dmf is 1300€ on autodocs!!🙃 + the clutch kit, close to 2000..
What about Vaico brand, they make dmf but not clutch, what can fit vaico then ? it is only 700€..

@ceecff Many thanks for your reply, it looks like it is DMF...

Find the part numbers for the parts you want then use Google search with part numbers to try and find better prices.

Following what you've told me about matching brands for flywheel and clutch, do you have an idea which brand will fit a Vaico or DT flywheel like this?
Have a nice day,

Have a nice day,

The oem part number is shown on the link you posted. Use Google and the oem part number to find part a lot cheaper.

Ask autodoc to tell you which clutches are compatible with the Single mass flywheel you linked too.

Go on valeo website find if they produce a single mass flywheel conversion for your van and a clutch to match.

thanks again @jackwhoo
I thought I had a dual mass but now I am not even sure, can you help me check ? The VIN is not working in the EPer but it seems my flywheel is 5801407175 OEM
Is this a SMF or DMF? If only SMF that would be good because lot cheaper of course

Sorry for the messages mess..

The forum eper is not up to date.
So smf option not showing.
You won't know what fitted until you take apart.
The smf and matching clutch was later option.

I also went to a Fiat dealer asking politely to tell me which parts were in my vehicule using my VIN and they told me about 5801407175 . But the lady did not seem 100% sure, can Fiat Eper also be wrong?

Eper on forum is not up to date...
It ap appears the smf is the new preferred part with matching clutch
