will wait and see what these bulbs i have fitted now are like, coming back from picking the car up yesterday i forgot how exciting it was to drive in the dark with crap lights

last night my driverside headlight decided to stop totally, (found out its a loose connection behind the light) and the passenger side switches off when i try full beam! now thats fun!

yeah I just read the Auto Express test thing and the Phillips and Osram both seem really good and at BOGOF bargin!

imo the ring ultra xenon beat the osram silver star for light output and for lasting a long time, thats tested with my eyes not lab test, we have no street lights around here

suerly the motor should be stuck to the fan

or do u just mean u havent undone the 3 bolts on the back of the rad that free up the fan / motor?

not even a week after i got it and i got a water leak , i was going to store it for the winter tomorrow aswell

topped up with water on monday, was half between min and max , went to top up with anti-freeze this morning and way below min but no warning light

i do have mayo in the filler cap but im blaming that on the cold weather and short runs

no oil in water, normal temperature (90), no visible signs of a leak, no sign of dodgy cap

the joys on cento ownership come flooding back , i should be angry but i'm not

anyone have any tips on storing a car??

For running higher than standard bulbs wire them from the battery via a relay. Would imagine the switch in the cabin is already on the other side of a relay to the lights but it can't hurt to improve the gauge of wire powering the lamps.

Nah, it isn't! The full beams are relay switched, but not the normal headlights.

Gaz, it could've been an air lock in the system that has just moved around.

Update, the water seems to be ok now , took it for a spin and nothing bad happened

hopefully an airlock as you say arc , im guessing it wont leave the system until i bleed it

have cleaned the car now ready for storage, was mucky up in them arches
