Technical New Cams Needed

My cams have been badly worn for some time and are in need of replacement. I was going to fit Alfa t-spark cams, but I've just found out it's not really possible.

Where's the best place to buy new cams? I don't want to spend a fortune, but what's the best type to get?

Why dont u upgrade to a set of C&B medium to fast roads cams, cost around 500euros but shure the fiat OMP cams wont come cheap and be close to that figure anyhow.

What's the snag with the 2.0 litre Alfa ones? I heard they would work fine. As always it would be worth you having a thorough search of the Punto thread for any info from the HGT crowd.

Failing that the C&B ones are very proper indeed, though I gather from the HGT crowd that they don't deliver much additional on their own and will set you up for further expense like a stand-alone ECU.

Lastly and most gloomily if your CAMS are badly worn what other engine internals might be on their way out? How many miles has your Barchetta done? Anyone else had this problem?

I'll have another look at the Alfa ones though. Rest of the engine is in perfect shape, just the mounts of the cams are very badly worn - 177,000Km will do that
