New Bravo Owner Need Help

Just bought a 1996 1.4 Bravo a fortnight ago for my first car and need a bit of help.

Firstly, the mats that are in are crap and I want new ones, I know you can get Novitec ones but I don't really want novitec emblazoned on them. Can you get the official fiat ones still?

Secondly, the fiat badges are a bit scruffy and I want new ones, again I just want the official ones, not abarth and I don't want it de-badged either. Where can you get them, is a scrapyard best?

Lastly, (for now) I want a spoiler, particulary the official fiat one, I think it's off the hlx, i know they are screwed on but if I got one could you just stick it on?

Actually one more thing, planning on taking out the officail fiat head unit and getting a proper one, i have the halfords fascia however looking at the headunits most Sony ones are flip down and it looks as though it may catch on the shelf of the fascia, anyone else had this problem?

Hi Gaz,

Yes you can still get the mats from Fiat, I think the Abarth ones are £35.

Same for the badges, they only cost about £2-3.

As for the headunit, I've had a Pioneer, now got an Alpine and never had any problems. It depends whether the faceplate moves down or out? Try asking Wimmy he wanted to fit a Sony, not sure if he did or not?

Standard sony flip down ones arent a problem, but if it has a larger than normal screen it will be. Also those **** gimicky tray loading sonys wont fit.

thanks for the advice guys, can you get a parts catalogue from fiat, or do you just phone up or what?

cheers for the advice on the cd units johnathan, will be getting one soon, i might spray the fascia from halfords matt black so it matches my dashboard better, i know you (i think) put in an order for different fascias from italy or something but my dashboard is black anyway so it does not look as bad, it is a bit shiny though. Why is there only one make of fascia it's crap, oh well see you guys later.

Anyone know about the spoiler? can u just stick it on are the ones from fastfiat the same as the standard fiat ones?

Gaz check the spoliers on the bravo guide. I know the Hoermann one doesnt fit through the window, nor does the abarth one (I think) but the HLX and HGT one does.

There are more and more Bravo's in breakers these days, I founf about a dozen this evening so keep an eye out for the HLX or HGT and get the spoiler and screen together if you want one of those.

Some of the Sony one's will catch the fascia plate. I was particularly looking at the CDX-MP70 but unfortunately this will not fit. I dont know about the other Sony models.
The Kenwood models however, have a low flip down and will fit on the fascia
